It is said that Changgyeong Palace was designed primarily as a residence for elders of the royal family to live during Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Therefore, the inner court is larger and more elaborate than the outer court is. The outer court has an easterly orientation while the halls are smaller and the gates are fewer than at the other palace compounds. And it is also read that Changgyong Palace originally had no garden of its own because the residents shared the garden behind Changdeok Palace_the two compounds were directly connected.  So be the history.

November 5th was the beautiful autumn day. Twenty people got together in front of Honghwamun, the main gate of Changgyeong Palace and enjoyed the stroll in the palace. In groups of twos and threes, members took pictures under the trees with fantastic color, sat down around the pond 'Chundangji' for a brief rest,  or greeted one another sharing recent personal matters.

Great way to get away from the busy life and feel the wonders of nature.
