2018 General Meeting

On Feb. 28th, 2018, around 50 members got together at the Girl Scout Auditorium to hold 2018 General Meeting. President Jungsook Kim had an opening remark and a Congressman Soonrae Kim had a congratulatory speech on how much WKIC has done to enhance the integration of education and gender equality. Ms. Guemsook Choi, the president of Korean  National Council of Women, emphasized the importance of selecting the same ratio on the number of the assemblymen and the need to continue the effort to reach the empowerment of women. Ms. Yunsook Lee, the former congressman, also asserted how education could impact people and the world. 

2017 General meeting minutes got passed unanimously and members approved the 2018 plan of operation and the budget without dissent. President Kim proposed the revision of articles on the naming of WKIC (Korean version: 국제여성교류협회 한국본부) and adding 'integration of education' and 'gender equality' on the article 1 and 2 and members passed the revision unanimously.
