Founding Ceremony

After several preparatory meetings held in the spring and the summer of 2016, WKIC was formally established on the 

September 2nd, 2016. Over one hundred twenty participants, including NGO women leader and VIPs attended the Founding 

Ceremony at the Press Center in Seoul. Dr. Jungsook Kim, a former congresswoman, currently the President of International 

Council of Women (ICW) was elected to the post Inaugural President. 

The organization's charter was approved and twelve board members were elected. President Jungsook Kim delivered a 

powerful speech on the importance of enhancing opportunities in education and in personal networking through a variety of 

existing and potential programs and activities.
