Twenty one members were headed for Hong-Yoo Neung (Hong Neung & Yoo Neung) located in Keumgok-ri, Namyang-ju, Kyungki-do at 8 o'clock in the morning on June 13th, 2017. It was the second series tour under the title "Remembering Emperor Gojong and the empress Myungseong". Hong-Yoo Neung has the royal tombs of Emperor Gojong, Empress Myungsung, and their sons and daughters.
Members got armored with all sorts of stories and historical knowledge as we went along several places with the guide.
Around lunch time, we went to Yeo-ju and had a neat lunch consisting of several Na-mool (cooked vegetable) at the popular restaurant. Delicious and on top of that ~ Healthy!!
After lunch, we went to the place where the Empress Myungseong was born and were told how smart and diplomatic the Empress was and what kind of changes might have happened to Josun Dynasty if she had not been assassinated by the Japanese government.
Gamgo-dang was the next stop where she used to stay before she got chosen to be the Empress. Members had to a chance to sit on the bench indulging ourselves in reminiscence of the time and the place.
We all went to the Cultural Center and got some green tea training and enjoyed the beautiful and informative tour.
