On October 14th, 2024, twenty people headed for Jeolabook-do province and explored the historic places with excitement. Jeonju is a capital city of Jeolabook-do and has historic milestones everywhere, but time is limited. So we visited Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeondong Cathedral, and strolled Hanok Village. Gyeonggijeon Shrine is composed of the main hall (National treasure No. 1578;enshrining a portait of King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty), Jeonju History Archive (storing the annals of the Joseon dynasty, Jogyeongmyo (the shrine for the progenitor the family Lee), and Hamabi (a tablet saying that passerbys has to get off their horses to show the respect to the king).

Jeondong Chathedral is known for the structure, which looks like the Virgin Mary. Quite Interesting!

After delicious Bibimbap, we got on the limousine bus and went to Geumsansa temple which is very famous for its Mireukjeon Hall. Anyone would be quite surprised to see the height of the Buddha Stautue. Byeokgolje Reservoir site was the last stop of the day's trip and such a lovely and cozy tour among the common cosmos and the drizzling rain.
